Notts County Foundation is delighted to announce that CEO Sleepout Nottingham will return to Meadow Lane on Thursday 10th November, with this year’s event shaping up to be one of the best yet.
With the aim of raising as much money as possible for Notts County Foundation, Emmanuel House Support Centre, and The Friary, CEO Sleepout challenges local businesspeople from across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to trade their bed for a night under the stars in support of key local charities at the forefront of tackling homelessness and poverty.
Tom Home, Senior Marketing and Events Coordinator at Notts County Foundation, said: “We are delighted to, once again, be hosting CEO Sleepout at Meadow Lane as we continue our community-focussed work surrounding homelessness and deprivation. Having raised over £20,000 during last year’s event, we are determined to make CEO Sleepout 2022 one of the biggest and best to date.”
Bianca Robinson, Chief Executive Officer of CEO Sleepout, said: “Every year since 2016, the great and good of Nottinghamshire’s business community have given up home comforts and warm beds to spend a night sleeping pitch side at Meadow Lane Stadium.
They do this to raise big funds for those who have been pulled into homelessness. In times like we’re seeing now where private rental is becoming unaffordable for so many, a life event such as a relationship breakdown or job loss could send someone spiralling into destitution and leave them homeless.”
With more than 30 local businesspeople already registered and just over six weeks to go, there’s still plenty of time to register and make a real, tangible difference to those less fortunate across the city and county.
Bianca added: “To date, CEO Sleepout Nottingham has raised a whopping £237,600 – and we’re going to push that significantly over the quarter of a million mark this year. Funds will benefit four amazing charities on the frontline of homelessness and poverty: Notts County Foundation, Emmanuel House, The Friary, and CEO Sleepout UK.
It’s an unforgettable night rubbing shoulders with likeminded peers in the business community – unlocking understanding, compassion and raising big funds to fight homelessness. All you need is a big heart and a sleeping bag!”
