Notts County Foundation is delighted to announce Miles Green as the recipient of the first-ever Captain’s Corner Award for January 2024. This accolade is a testament to Miles’ unwavering support for the club and the Foundation, as well as his consistent attendance at every home game and active participation in the On The Ball sessions at The Portland Centre.
Miles, a dedicated and passionate member of the Notts County community, has demonstrated exceptional commitment to both the club and its charitable arm, Notts County Foundation. His continuous presence at home games showcases his genuine enthusiasm for the team and his desire to be an integral part of the club’s journey. This has not gone unnoticed by the players, as they all know Miles by name and love his presence at Meadow Lane. Notts County skipper Kyle Cameron presented Miles with a framed certificate and scarf to commemorate his award.
In addition to being a loyal supporter during matchdays, Miles has actively engaged in the On The Ball sessions at The Portland Centre, exemplifying his commitment to community engagement and the Foundation’s initiatives.
Harry Dalzell, Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Notts County Foundation, expressed his pride in presenting Miles with the Captain’s Corner Award, saying: “Miles’ consistent support for the club and the Foundation is clear. Miles is an incredible character and someone I look forward to seeing on a weekly basis. This award is a small token of our appreciation for his dedication, and we are honoured to recognise him as the January 2024 recipient of the Captain’s Corner Award.”
Jackie Coleman, who takes Miles to Notts County, shared her gratitude and joy for the recognition, stating: “Thank you so much for an amazing day on Saturday. Miles loved it, such a surprise for him! In his words, ‘the best day of his life!’ Notts is a fantastic club, and this particular group of players are really special and so good to Miles. Their kindness means so much to him. He loves them all! Keep up the hard work. We appreciate everything you do.”
