We are thrilled to announce that Team GB Paralympic champion Tully Kearney will be joining us at our prestigious Gala Dinner this October.
As one of the country’s most inspirational athletes, Tully’s presence will help highlight the Foundation’s ongoing mission to provide life-changing opportunities through sport and physical activity.
Tully will be accompanied by fellow special guests, actress Vicky McClure and broadcaster Mark Dennison, who will also be speaking at the event. As a Nottingham native and dedicated Notts County fan, Tully’s attendance adds a personal connection to the evening.
We invited Tully to showcase our own impactful work, while also celebrating her incredible achievements at this year’s Paralympic Games.
In Paris, Tully hit double gold after winning both the 100m and 200m freestyle swimming events, solidifying her place among the world’s elite athletes. Shortly after her historic wins, she competed in the World Cup Open Water Championships, further demonstrating her passion and drive in the pool and beyond. Competing in the S5/SB4/SM5 classification for athletes with physical disabilities, Tully continues to break barriers and inspire others.
“I have a long history of supporting Notts County, which came from my Grandad who was a fan right up until he sadly passed away two years ago. My mum, two uncles, cousins, and I all support Notts, which is how I became aware of the Foundation. The Foundation’s aim to provide high-quality, accessible, life-changing opportunities through sport and physical activities aligns with my own values.” – Tully Kearney, Team GB
Tully’s advocacy work goes beyond her swimming and is soon launching her own frame running club at Loughborough University, aimed at providing children and adults with more severe disabilities a space to engage in sport.
The Gala Dinner will be an evening of celebration, inspiration, and community, featuring prominent voices from the region alongside Tully’s incredible journey. Through her support, the Notts County Foundation hopes to continue their work of making sport accessible to everyone, regardless of background or ability.
